Mermaid Conference Centre

Lat: 51.511644, long: -0.102090

Our main conference venue.

We have exclusive use of the Mermaid, including its state-of-the-art auditorium, intimate break-out rooms, and restaurant with spectacular views of the Thames. There’s free wireless internet throughout the building.

History Originally opened as the Mermaid Theatre in 1959, it was built by the actor Sir Bernard Miles. It was the first theatre built in the City of London since Shakespeare’s time, and its open stage and single-tier auditorium became a model for modern theatre design.

What's nearby The Mermaid is a short walk from St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Tate Modern, and Shakespeare’s Globe. The nearest tube stations are Mansion House (Circle & District lines) and St. Paul’s (Central line). Note: Blackfriars tube station is closed, but the overground station is still open.
